Following the departures of founding member Anthony Philips and drummer John Mayhew, Genesis recruited two vey significant replacements in the form of Steve Hackett on guitar and Phil Collins on drums. For many fans the line up of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Collins and Hackett remains the classic Genesis line-up. Yet another huge leap forward musically, ‘Nursery Cryme’ kicks off with another highpoint in the band’s musical progression – the majestic 10-minute ‘Musical Box’.
